Sashimi is a traditional way of preparing food in Japan, since the word sashimi means any food( fish, meat or vegetable) cut into thin slices.
For this sashimi we will use salmon.
Two salmon fillets
Lemon
Lime
Soja sauce
Grated wasabi powder, one teaspoon
Fresh mint
Fresh basil or other green leaf vegetables you like
Salt
Freshly ground black pepper
Prep: 45 mins
Cook: 50 mins
Directions
1Rinse the fillets under running water, remove any impurities and dry them with a towel.
2With a sharp knife, carefully remove the dark part of the flesh and all fat.
3Cut the fillets into cubes and then re-cut them into small cubes, until they are thin. You can also do it in long slices.
4Place the fillets in individual bowls, season with salt and freshly ground black pepper, sprinkle with lemon juice and lime juice.
5Refrigerate fifteen minutes, remove and garnish with fresh mint leaves, fresh basil bouquet or any green leaf veggie to your liking. Season with soy sauce and grated wasabi, Serve.
